Yes, we agree!  In fact, we already have some of the "plumbing" in place to accomplish this, but the administrative interface needs to catch up.  Version 1.2, due this week or next will have a new feature to better handle column assignment automatically, and then after that we'll be making the "preview" in the admin work better ... and then we'll be working on administrative control over element widths and alignment.  You'll see it soon enough.
